EY Business Game Competition Ed. 2014

On May 14th, at the EY Headquarters in Milan, was held the second edition of EY Business Game Competition Ed.2014.

"Business Game Competition 2014" was organized by EY in ten Italian universities: Bocconi University, University of Bologna, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Milano, Politecnico di Milano, Luiss Guido Carli University of Rome "Tor Vergata ", University of Naples Federico II, University Ca 'Foscari Venezia, Bari Polytechnic, University of Genoa. BGC 2014 was made up of three phases: Skillgame, Business Game and Contest Idea.

The top 100 winners in the Skillgame, from each university, were involved in the Green Start Up Business Game, a management simulation game area for a green environment, "building a better working world"! 1, 2, ... n start up teams (made up of 4/5 students ) that competed with the aim of becoming the market leader and increasing the value of company’s holdings. The winning teams of the 10 Business Game tournaments competed in the third and final stage, namely the Contest Idea. In a synthetic, clear and effective way through the methodology of elevator pitch) every team presented to the jury an idea / project in green environment. The winning team was awarded a 2 month internship at EY and attended an international meeting dedicated to our interns, in Orlando Florida, a unique opportunity to share values, experiences, and a chance to activate an international network.

The top 10 teams of EY Business Game finalist, were driven in the competition by talent, innovation, by a vision of the future, the passion for "green" and creativity. The winning teams of the ten universities involved, had the chance to demonstrate their abilities in front of a prestigious jury. The Contest Idea phase required the winning teams from each Business Game (10 in total) to present in a concise, clear and effective way (through the elevator pitch methodology) an idea / project in the green environment. The jury, made up of Gabriele Vanoli (EY Partner), Stefano Landi (CEO Landi Lorenzo), Alexia Pinter (EY Partner), Alessandra Pavolini (General Electric),Gabriele Grignaffini (EY Partner) awarded an internship of two months at EY headquarters in Milan and a trip to Orlando (Florida) to attend the international conference, which every year EY offers to its trainees and to the team from the University of Naples Federico II.
